Rainby MAKComment by moodville: The close-up composition is good. I'm not sure if a filter was used here or else excessive neatimage but the skin looks very odd as do the teeth and hair. There seems to be quite a number of jpg artifacts in the shot too. |

Rainby MAKComment by Brad: Composition is great, but something went wrong (in my opinion) in the post-processing, unless it was what you were trying to acheive. Looks like a very heavy case of Neat Image (or similar). Thought it was due to compression, but at 148K shouldn't have been. Looks good from a distance only in my opinion. (5) |

Rainby MAKComment by NinjaMom: Great composition and idea. However, I am getting a lot of pixel noise on my monitor on her face. 5 |

Rainby MAKComment by Imagineer: Lovely model, but (and you'll hear loads of this no doubt) your image has been over effected by (probably) NeatImage or a clean-up filter. I'll ignore it now because that will have anihilated your score - but your composition is good the lighting is soft and defined, so all round a good photo.
Ultimately though this doesn't touch me emotionally, and I'm not certain what the photo is intended to do. There's not enough context to know about this lady and her expression does look a little forced, so your presence is very apparent. I'm not a major fan of the Librodo-style close-up, mainly because it tells so little about the person.
While eyes can be a 'window to the soul' they can seldom do the job unless the feelings conveyed are genuine. Authenticity is difficult to come by in this style of portrait. and the real masters of this technique are often photojournalists. |

Rainby MAKComment by dreamstate: Beautiful expression and subject, but it the pixilation (smart-blur?) makes it seem artificial and steals the depth. |

There it isby MAKComment by bcoble: I like this photo. Try cropping off the bottom, it appears to me that this may improve the photo. I keep looking to the bottom for what he is looking at and it is all blury. Perhaps a different title and a crop job. Otherwise I think this photo is fine. |
