The New Dayby MAKComment by hanneke: the horizon is a bit off, and the whole photo seems a bit grey. I think some adjustments can make this photo better! |

The New Dayby MAKComment by Tammer: I agree that a new day is cause for celebration. For me though, the overcast sky and "gray mood" of the photo makes me want to crawl back into bed and pull the covers up. I do like the composition, just wish it had been a brighter day. |

The New Dayby MAKComment by Falc: Very busy and no real focal point for my eyes to come to rest on. A clutterd midground. |

breeze.jpgby MAKComment by glad2badad: It makes me wonder what's on the other side. I want to peer over the tops of the plumes! So, in a way, this is an effective shot as it's gained my interest and evoked an emotion.
I understand what you've done with the composition using the ROT, but perhaps you could change the ratio to 2/3 sky 1/3 grass? If there is anything worth seeing on the other side, maybe a different angle would work here to include a more expansive view. I think a good DOF and wider vista is going to work better for the wide angle view.
Anyway, I like this shot overall. Good eye to see it. ;^) |

breeze.jpgby MAKComment by ttreit: I like the top third...as soon as you get into the solid green it loses something. But I like the sky and the stalks poking out above the rest against that sky. |

breeze.jpgby MAKComment by JH: Doesn't do much for me I'm afraid. Looks like you pointed the camera at a hedge and clicked. I can't see much 'wide angle' about it, I would have given it a 4. |

breeze.jpgby MAKComment by L1: This is lovely, with refreshing colors and a nice, breezy feel...but I don't think it would have stood a chance in the WA challenge. When I think of WA for landscapes (such as this is), I think of vast images - a large or widespread area w/in the frame, and this is just a small field of view IMHO. Of course there are many interpretations, but that's just mine. That being said, it's still a nice image. :) |
