Paw Feetby

Let me say first off that this is very cute! I have a soft spot for furry little animals (especially puppies)!
The soft focus was definitely a unique and good choice for this photo. Whether it was done in a photo editing program or with a filter, it works very well. If you know in advance that you will be using soft focus for an image, you need to get what you want in focus entirely in focus. A smaller aperture would have made the paw and your feet in focus. Soft focusing subjects that are already out of focus tends to overdue it because soft focuses places a subject slightly out of focus.
I like the lighting/background a lot. Although parts of your big toes seem slightly blown out, the light works very well. Having the neutral black background leaves the viewer to focus on the focal point and that's exactly what you would want.
Another thing that makes this photo unique is the use of selective sepia tonation. This adds even more mood to the photo making it very strong by bringing out the reds.
Overall, I enjoy viewing this image. You got zero ones and one two so by that you know it was a strong image. Keep up the good work. :)
