Challenge: Nude II (Advanced Editing II)
Camera: Minolta DiMAGE 7i
Location: 25th Street, New York City

Date Uploaded: Aug 22, 2004

Walking along the streets of Manhattan, I spotted these mannequins in a store window. Since I did not have a nude model I wanted nor the place to shoot,I decided this might make an interesting shot.

I like this composition, but the tonal range is wrong, very blown out aon the shoulder top left and too much green. Also needs to be sharper

What a crowd to wait in line with, clever staging. like the crop -8-

This is another of my top five picks (all b/w btw). On my monitor it looks a little washed out on the chest of the gentleman in the rear but otherwise it is superb.

Never waited in line nude before! nice lighting

Interesting lighting and I like the somewhat jumbled composition - works well for the subject. I like the inclusion of the single face and eyes and would like it to be just a touch further into the frame.

hard to see whether those are real people or dummies, which makes this image also special. I like it.

i think this is a cool composition, but I would not have included the face of the one manniquin, as well, the whole image seems soft without purpose. Otherwise, very cool shot. :)

Nice abstract feel to this, almost reportage style.

Try cropping the top 1/4 on my screen if I cut it off so it's just torsos it look more dramatic.

I've seen worse queues! I really like the ambience of this - with a sense of what is real and what isn't. It's a bit of a dilemma really - can mannequins be sexy? I think they can (in the same way that Jessica Rabbit is a babe!). ; )

I like the composition and that you have only one face inside the frame. But I feel that the picture lacks sharpness.
