Taste - tea or water?by leteneleComment by tyt2000: Tea is not the opposite of water, neither are their tastes. Your photo is more like a choice, not opposites. The photo is technicaly good, DOF is nice. |

Taste - tea or water?by leteneleComment by whagerbaumer: I will take this as flavored and unflavored. The background is amazing. I would have preferred to see the full glasses in the foreground, but I really like this picture. A 9. |

Taste - tea or water?by leteneleComment by mandyp: I find this a little unbalanced - I'm not sure if it would help to show more of the glasses. They don't really seem like opposites to me. |

Taste - tea or water?by leteneleComment by L1: I know these are two different things, but are they truly opposites? I would have cropped the right a bit more and maybe lowered the shot to include more of the water glass. |

Taste - tea or water?by leteneleComment by Azrifel: I like the balance (subject, light, tone) between foreground and background in this photo. The good quality of the bokeh makes the background objects recognizable. This gives a kind of calm to it all. Good colors. The icetea looks fresh and tasteful and the blue cast of the glass with the water and ice makes it look really cold.
I would like to see the base of the glasses though and a piece of the table cloth. It would give better perspective and depth. It would also make the napkin behind the glasses recognizable. Now it could be anything, like a jacket hanging on a chair. As soon as things like that are easy to identify it is less of a distraction and adds more to the composition.

Taste - tea or water?by leteneleComment by wkoffel: The impromptu snap-shot style is odd on this one. The black napkin distracts some, as does the hilite above the tea. I suppose they count as "opposites", although they're really pretty similar. :) |
