I like the angle the treetrunk is on in this shot. the way the background is present in the top right hand corner and lower left hand corner is nice, but I think I would have liked to see it a bit more blurred. The subject of the picture is a little on the boring side, but it looks good overall.

It looks like you had an excellent picture taking opportunity here. I feel that it would have been a much better shot if you had been closer to the dried up limb in the pond and used it to fill your frame. That may have been imposible, but this distant shot leaves me disinterested. I take pictures like this one too.

I think that the lighting is a bit blown out on the stick. Definately shows motion though, and your focus is ok. Angle and framing/cropping are also nice. Good luck in the challenge.

Wow, such rich tones! Something about it just doesn't sit right with me though. I think you've tried to include too much in the photo. A tighter crop around the tree would be very effective, I think. I know that sounds like a very predictable suggestion, but it's what my instinct tells me, not just to make it conform to the usual standards people apply to photos here :). I still rate it pretty highly though, for its colours and light. It's a beautiful shot.

The first time I saw this, I was pretty hard on it with my scoring, but it deserves better. Excellent detail, and the snag in the middle is lighted really well. I'm betting a lot of folks with the famous uncalibrated monitor are killing you on brightness, because it is a touch dark. I suspect that a print of this would disappoint you because it would come out darker than you think it is. Awesome composition, though!
