Natural Symmetryby PixelstateComment by canary: Like the colour and the focus on the stamens but would personally prefer a little deeper DOF. Really like the shot though and I'm no expert on good DOF so if I'm talking nonsense just ignore me.
P.S- My friend really liked the shot too and wanted me to give you a 10. |

Sunsetby PixelstateComment by LalliSig: I bet this looks good in print but in 640pixel resolution it just doesn´t really work as well as it could. 6 |

The London Eye by PixelstateComment by loriprophoto: Congrats on the Blue. This is a beautiful shot. I used to drive past this (saw it from the time it lay flat for so long because of complications until it was raised) and see it from this angle a few times a week while living in London, the surrounding area sure has changed in the 6 years I have been away. I thought the "Eye" was only going to be there for a few years, they have obviously changed their minds LOL. Way to go it was one of my favs in this challenge.

Woaaa I'm confused that looks like the same exact shot |
Like Chris said in his description, it's a rather clichéd shot. A lot of people take similar pictures of this landmark. It just goes to show that even clichés can win ribbons if very well done, as this certainly is! It's a great example of how useful Graduated ND filters can be. Most London Eye At Night photos have a much darker sky with overexposed foreground lights. The exposure here is perfect. I also like the unlit trees, which don't detract from the subject like the typical photos do. |
