When You Gotta Go, You Gotta Goby frychiknComment by nicklevy: Too much of a descriptive shot for my taste. 1st the subject is tilted. 2nd there are no colors. There are nothing special in your light and the subject is cropped too tight. |

Rusted Ruy Lopezby frychiknComment by hannafate: This image makes no sense. That might be okay, but it doesn't make a nice abstract image, either. Squaring up on the chess board might have helped. There is a lot of stuff in the background that doesn's seem to have anything to do with your idea (whatever it was). Cut it off. And don't use the flash attached to the camera when you are facing something shiny. |

Rusted Ruy Lopezby frychiknComment by Bibliophile: Poor focus, distracting background and an unclear subject are reasons I'm voting this low. In the future you should try to make some of the lines in the photo parallel to the frame of your photo and avoid the hot spot in the lower portion when using flash by not pointing the camera directly at the reflective surface. Throsing a tablecloth over the stained glass surface will emilinate the distracting background and using a higher f stop (aperture at f8) will allow more of the photo to be in focus. |
