Treeby malapropamComment by jimmsp: A little blown out on the left for me. Try "curves" in PS for a better look. Good textures, though. |

Treeby malapropamComment by GeneralE: Looks a little blown-out in the upper left, but wonderful texture in the reast of it. |

Treeby malapropamComment by karmat: This has some excellent texture, and I like the colors, how the light casts the shadows. Unfortunately, that same light almost washes it out in places. Not sure how you could have fixed, maybe found another part of the tree. karmat |

Treeby malapropamComment by mcmurma: the lighting on the "tree" is way too harsh, it creates highlights that are overexposed and shadows that are as dark as night. this is too bad, because i think this tree would be very interesting if i could see more of it. there is a good deal of texture present but it gets lost in the lighting. perhaps shooting on a bright, but cloudy day would have allowed the exposure to remain more even and show more detail. ~mcmurma Aesthetics...4 Meets Challenge...6 Overall...5 |

Treeby malapropamComment by sheyingshi88: You have some beautiful texture here. I think your camera's meter averaged the light in the picture and caused the light areas to be over exposed though. If you have a manual mode, you might try to vary the exposure stop by stop and view the results in the LCD before you shoot. Then you could expose for the real nice lighter textures and let the dark area on the left go. If your camera won't let you do that, you might shift the camera to include more of the light, half press the shutter release to set the exposure and focus, then reaim without letting up on the half-press and take your picture. |

Treeby malapropamComment by FranziskaLang: lots of texture, but i think the sunlight is a little bit too bright. there are a couple of spots in the midle of the picture where i'm almost squinting looking at this screen. -- gr8photos (5) |

Treeby malapropamComment by GinaRothfels: Large sections are overlit, while the right side is far too dark. Perhaps a different section of the tree or a different time of day would have worked better. |
