I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: This is a delightful image - great foreground and background offer loads of intensity. I really like the high contrast handling too. You lower POV (down to the girl's level) involves the viewer and creates a sense of being there. The reflections in the window are particularly compelling and offer a great sense of space.

Critical stuff: Nope

Overall: Standout composition and sweet subject without an ounce of schmaltz. Great stuff.

It's like the carpet border is the boundary line...I think that's why the photographer appears to be stuck between the two worlds. He is neither here nor there and in both places at once.
