Normally not a fan of this style, but lately I'm finding myself rating images with people much higher. The treatment on the flora in the background is a little heavy, but it works for this image. I'm imagining she's looking back at me, longing for something. Kind of the way I look at life now. Looking back and wondering what if.

Mondrian composition, limited palette (of tones), and the contrast in dog and rug textures warms up the starker contrast between fur and door and black beyond. (I have a very similar, in the bare bones sense, of a friend's dog that I think is one of my best works). Like.
