A quiet place to sit by markwileyComment by MaryO: Oh, that must smell heavenly. Beautifully serene scene and I like the bit of purple in the sky echoing the purple lavender. |

A quiet place to sit by markwileyComment by willem: Wow, very different and attractive scene. Nice depth as well. I am sure this will do well since it has the appeal factor. Personally the post processing is a bit too strong for me, it causes a purple colour cast across the whole image, even the grass and the white chair. |

Stripesby markwileyComment by Dennisheckman: Hey Mark, You have two separate and distinct images here. One with the smaller thumbnail where you can easily see the subjects/man's face. You see details such as eyes and other facial features. Then when you view it at full size, it turns into a whole different image completely. I think the distinct horizontal transition line might be a creative choice or maybe an oversight in processing, but I don't think it plays a huge role either way. I think your image is brilliant and is demonstrating to me at least, a business man who is seeking to have his soul revitalized with the natural wild world. In his minds eye, he sees what he yearns for the most. Great work. Should have ended higher for sure, IMO. |

The broad sideby markwileyComment by Bear_Music: I am a house, says Senlin, locked and darkened,
Sealed from the sun with wall and door and blind.
Summon me loudly, and you'll hear slow footsteps
Ring far and faint in the galleries of my mind.
You'll hear soft steps on an old and dusty stairway;
Peer darkly through some corner of a pane,
You'll see me with a faint light coming slowly,
Pausing above some gallery of the brain . . .

Winding Frostby markwileyComment by pgirish007: I was trying to understand this image and look for possible Anagram of and I was not able to make out. Even though the photograph is really, nicely executed, if this would not have been an Anagram challenge, this would got my attention but may be I lost in the image and title :( |

At the marginby markwileyComment by willem: The light from the left-back nicely shapes that part of the head. It really adds depth and shows the lines. There is still just enough light into the eye as well. I don't mind there is absolutely no detail on the right because the left part is great. Best male portrait in this challenge in my view. |
