Yeah... Unfortunately this has some text on it and it distracts from the canon. Perhaps a more angular shot of the canon would be better suited for this photo. I would have approached this from the ground up on an angle to show power (submissive when on the bottom) and that would also be in line with the challenge.
The title is also mispelled.

Ugg! pictures with dates stamped on them might best be kept for a personal photo album, not a challenge. It gives it such a touristy snapshot feel. Sorry I did not rate this very well. The subject looks weathered and has alot of character other aspects might have worked better for you here eg. closer differerent views/aspects.

Oops, earlier I commented on being out of the submission dates when later it was brought to my attention this is a valid date given dd/mm/yyyy. Sorry. At any rate, I would opt to turn that feature off when taking photos for a challenge.

This shot could be improved greatly with some "rule-of-thirds" composition and some tigher cropping. Also, the red digital date stamp really detracts from this image.

yikes on the date! == main subject not in focus (barrel) and lighting is a bit flat.
