IMG_9553.jpgby BradComment by Brad: One flash with Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce diffuser.
Was later in the day, somewhat shady/soft light. Flash was under manual power, exposure bias value was -1/3EV (trial & error)
Here is the original, no adjustments made in RAW conversion, resized in Bicubic sharper:
Edit to add:
I'm not sure if the flash was on the Stroboframe flip bracket or if I was holding
it up high or off to the side, as I used so many different combinations that day. Message edited by author 2008-12-09 17:13:47. |

IMG_9553.jpgby BradComment by jdannels: did you only use the one flash with a diffuser on this shot? Was the lighting very diffused to begin with and then the light brightened on the model in post? Any tips would be appreciated, this came out very well. |

Redby BradComment by bassbone: Brad - really suprised this did not score higher. This is outstanding work and has such a natural glow about it. It helps that you have a very pretty model to work with, but you did a great job of getting a relaxed pose and fantastic lighting.

To be compared with Gary, well, what can I say but wow!
And thanks to all that left such positive and complimentary words on this. |

Thanks Steve.
Wassup with the dark circles or the hiring part ;)
Here is the original:
I am trying really hard to not make my shots a PS creation, just natural enhancements.
I am getting there as far as getting it right in-camera, all in manual mode, including flash.
