This looks a bit flat to me. It makes me uncomfortable. I feel like increasing the contrast or just turning down the exposure.

Great (candid) portrait, Brad. And what a fantastic processing from a seemingly ordinary original (kudos for posting it!). sometimes I have the feeling that a great image can be discovered in almost any photograph, it's just I often don't have enough talent and vision to find it! Good lesson here.
