this is a nice shot. a good contrast between the big city and the beach life. i know where i live a lot of people come down from the city to go to the local beaches, so this makes sense to me.

One very minor nit pick –in a perfect world, I would have liked the guy behind her to be standing to the left of the picture. He’s forcing the photo to be slightly out of balance. This type of correction is hard to achieve unless you hired them to be in the picture. (the right place at the right time)
This would hang nicely on a wall – congratulations.

Get lower and closer to your subject. Don't worry about filling the entire background with that cityscape unless you can get a good subject in your foreground.
