Octoberby TressiderComment by Amason: 1/4th of this would have made a better phtotograph imo, then the 1/4 (or 2/3rd) of the frame down to the left corner. |

"Navajo Story Teller Doll"by TressiderComment by L2: I thought your subject was great, and your composition was good. I would have rated this photo much higher if it was in better focus. |

Octoberby TressiderComment by gruvin: This is very nicely framed, but it somehow lacks clarity and communication of season - despite the melting snow on the hills. The cropping is good, exposure seems right, but there's a lack of depth and realism somehow. Perhaps some experimentation with aperture and focus if possible? The balance of sky to ground is perfect and I like the mirrored arcs of the tree line to mountain saddle making this a good composition overall. 6. |

"The Parish on the Hillside"by TressiderComment by jmsetzler: When you indicated to me that you had used a tripod for this photo, there is one additional step you can take to help eliminate the issue of camera shake... Use the camera's self timer to make the photo rather than pressing the shutter button. This will eliminate any vibration in the camera that you could produce by touching it... just an extra thought. |

"The Parish on the Hillside"by TressiderComment by Artyste: Out of focus.. because, to me, it looks like you were taking this hand-held with too long a shutter speed, or, if you were using a tripod, it was very windy.
The light on the center of the church is also far over-exposed, and it hurts the rest of the shot. Change these two elements, and you have a much nicer photograph. |
