Great idea, and the leaning forward gives the illusion of wind. I would like to see the hat in perfect stop motion. An interesting framing would be much closer to your subject with the hat closer to his head. I feel this because only those two elements show wind. Everything else in this photo seems deathly still.

I think its really neat how the footprints seem to be more plentiful in the area of the broken part of the bridge.

The snow adds a lot of interest to this shot. I would have preferred if the footprints were not quite as busy. Does not seriously detract from the beauty of this image, and perhaps that was unavoidable. :)

Other suggestions: This one appears to be straightforward B&W. To add to a more omnious mood which I think you are trying to create with your title, I think a steel blue duotone would benefit your cause.

A circular gradient fill to spotlight the the broken railing would also add a visual cue for the viewer, and subtle burning of the bottom of the steps and wooden 2x8's would also add to the drama.

(If you'd like to see my take on this shot, just PM me)

Comment by Art Roflmao:
Shot has a lot of nice elements - color variations, composition. But the subject is too dark, hard to see and the focus seems misplaced or missing.
