I think a more shallow DOF might have softened that up a bit for a better look, but what absolutely perfect expression and emotion in this shot with great contrast in the display of the tatoo and obvious masculinity.  This is just priceless.  I bet is is great in BW as sell. 9 from me. |

 With the background you have with that wall, I think if you move the subject away from the wall and then light the background from behind the subject, you will get a gradient effect that would look really nice. |
