Monster Stormby postoakinversionComment by hyphaefungi: Wow, that must've been some sight in person. Nice capture. The houses are a bit dark though. They have to be there for context of course. Good luck. |

Monster Stormby postoakinversionComment by elemess: Very cool. I like how we can clearly see the cloud in front against the cloud in back (on the left). I think I want more detail in the houses. Excellent choice for b&w - it really makes the storm clouds more ominous. |

Fort Sill, original (unedited)by postoakinversionComment by Imagineer: I just want to add a note to my previous post on this shot.
Yes, it's not a digital filter (and yes, I s'pose I'll have to sart eating!) but all I would say is that the filter was not used to its best potential due to the 'falseness' of the end result. I would have chosen a less heavy-handed method of accentuation so that one remains focused on the scene and not an artificial enhancement.

Portrait of President Lincolnby postoakinversionComment by K-Rob: You've probably already heard this.....but why was this not DQ'd when other shots of currency were? I gotta tell you, I really like this picture. I'm just confused on the rules. I guess the lighting and use of dodging/burning saved this one. |

Decision Makerby postoakinversionComment by avadon: Wow, great capture, Matt!!! Really excellent! I LOVE that you've captured the coin as a still object, though perhaps a twist in the dimension of its travel might be more convincing of its motion. Not sure how you set that one up, though. The high contrast is wonderful, and really works with the subject! |
