Wow, now this is a great picture. I'm not sure if you put her in the chair or captured this as a candid but it's a great capture. When a picture catches your eye immediately I think it's a great picture. I didn't have to seek out the brilliance of the picture, it found me. 10

Very striking. I'm wondering how many people are going to interpret this as creative use of shallow DOF.
I don't profess to have a lot of technical know-how but this seems more like creative use of high contrast and high key lighting. I guess to achieve this fading into whiteness effect you had to start by blurring the subject a bit? But couldn't that also be the result of really extreme highlighting? I really like the photo quite a bit. I just am not getting shallow DOF from it. The bangs look a bit blurred in the front but I feel like I'm grasping to make this meet the challenge. I'm guessing you are going to get plenty of high votes from people who don't mind shoehorning a photo to fit a challenge if they really like the shot. I'm not really sure how to vote on this.
