No moreby s2fraserComment by bitfarmer: Try natural daylight, it makes shoots much better in general, in the same way flashes ruin most of the shoots. Combining daylight with some artificial coloured light coming from opposite may also help.
I think you had problem with insuficient light, as the subject moves a blur a little the photo.
It is just what I should had tried, but the shoot was nice anyway! |

No moreby s2fraserComment by SharQ: Slightly out of focus, and I'm sure you could have done something more interesting with the lighting. Good idea though. |

Telephoning the skyby s2fraserComment by s2fraser: Thanks for all the comments! I know that the clouds were overexposed (the sun was right behind the top of the pole), but I thought it 'worked', especially in contrast to the deep focus and the dark earth tones of the pole. I'll try it again with a late afternoon sun and puffy clouds to see what that does. Thanks again!
Cheers

Rough with the smoothby s2fraserComment by Beagleboy: I know I have said this to quite a few people during this challenge, but your main subject is too centred. Frame or crop this differently to create a more interesting shot. |

Rough with the smoothby s2fraserComment by David.C: I am not really sure why, but I like this. Perhaps it is the number of ways it is out of place; bright red against grey, small against large, smooth against rough, geometrical against irregular. My only 10 in the challenge. |
