What a nice shot, so emotive and touching. I love the boys walking with dad idea and the use of the sepia is well chosen. The only thing that bothers me is the balance, it seems a bit heavy on the left with the cropping. I put up my magic envelope and I really like this shot centered better, taking out the pole in the upper right corner. A 9

I think this looks too snapshot-ish. The dark colors of the mans clothing, hair, hat, all kind of blend in with the dark tree background. OK. 6.

Very Andy Griffith! I mean that as a compliment, too! The older gent is a bit dark, he doesn't stand out well from the darkness of the trees in front of him (er...behind him?)... also too bad the boy's arm didn't get in the shot, because it looks a tad odd. Personally, I would've cropped out the telephone wires on the upper right, as my eye kept getting pulled over there... otherwise, great shot! Thank you!

Very touching image. The duotones and grain works very well here. May need a little burning on the right around the border. Just a suggestion. Nice job.8

Very nice tones! The leading lines of the road, though mostly implied, still work to bring my eyes into the photo. I love the softness of the surrounding vegetation while having nice, sharp focus on the figures. An emotive and lovely image. 8

Beautiful soft focus effect, and over-all quality of lighting in a difficult harsh-light situation

Maybe a little soft. I wonder if a few more steps down the two track would have provided better lighting. Maybe it would have been to harsh.

Great grab shot. Nicely composed. I would prefer that the head/hat was not lost against the background but you can't have everything.
