Very nice and simple image. Tells a story in the rough condition of both the shoes and the skateboard. I like how the skateboard looks older instead of one of those fancypants things (could just be my perception of course) so that helps futher the idea of it being in use for a long time. There's some great lines and shapes here as well. I've just a couple nitpicks, I wish there was more contrast to the image and that the DOF was just a bit deeper. Other than that, nicely done. I gave a 7

Can't tell if the water is going in or coming out of his mouth. ;^) I guess that's good - means you've stopped the motion very well. Black and White is fine although it seems the range is a little short, leaning heavier toward the dark end of the scale. Good luck in the challenge.
