I still like the spider. Wish I had done less to the background. Thank you so much for your critique.

Hello from the critique club

An interesting image that meets the challenge

Well, its certainly purple! Your composition is good placing the spider on an appropriate hotspot but I̢۪m afraid I̢۪m one of those who dislike the processing. In a way I like it because it makes the spider less obvious and you have to search more for it but it just feels too much, a bit overdone. I supose its the sort of effect you either like or you don̢۪t. Thanks for a different and stimulating entry Susie.

I'm seeing a lot of this filter recently. I think it would have been much more interesting without the swirling filter. Intriguing, yet over done.

The more I look at this the more it grows on me! I realise some will think the editing is over the top but it's kind of funky, makes the spider look rather friendly!

I gave you a 6 because I really like your framing and processing. As Neat and Salmiakki already said, Street photography- PEOPLE. This is the main reason why your entry was hammered by most.

Susie, I gave this a 3. It's not street photography, thus doesn't meet the challenge. It would be a good idea to research a bit what the topic is before trying to shoot, it will increase your chance of a better score. Street photography has lots of different definitions, but typically it requires a human and it should be candid. You commented you couldn't find volunteers for this challenge, which again suggests you are not too familiar with this genre of photography.

Otherwise it's a perfectly competent photograph of a not very interesting architectural detail.
