this seems to be very close the the line of being a literal representation of a piece of artwork. I love the lighting and contrast in this picture, but I just don't get a strong sense of you, the photographer, in this. In the future, I would try to avoid dead-on pictures of artwork and instead try to infuse more of your own vision

There is very little separation between the subject and the background making for a very busy composition. The subject has some appeal but this arrangement is rather mundane.

very good image but I think it may have looked better if cropped so that the uncarved stone did not show in the upper left corner; wise choice for this challenge
