Swan-2.jpgby kevrobertsonComment by danica22: love the reflection of the other swan, the border compliments the picture perfectly and the crisp detail on the wing is fantastic |

Swan-2.jpgby kevrobertsonComment by ShotMD: I think this is a beautifully composed and captured shot. The main point of improvement to me would be the sharpening. It seems a bit over sharpened to me which has produced a white halo around the neck. I think that it may have also accented your digital noise commented on by kenskid. Have you seen the sharpening article linked in the forums?

Swanby kevrobertsonComment by kenskid: I like shots like this. I wouldn't fill my portfolio with them but I like some "different" takes on the ordinary.

Swanby kevrobertsonComment by Prism: Guess my monitor isn't as clear as Travis99, because I don't see the noise, just ice. This one is almost abstract with some interesting lines for the eye to follow. Makes me want to touch the feathers. |

Swan-2.jpgby kevrobertsonComment by kenskid: I like the light, the border and the other goose's reflection...
...seems like some color noise though. |

Frozen Lakeby kevrobertsonComment by Prism: Like the sky reflecting in the ice. Overall colours are a bit dark and murky but it is hard to get good colour when it is so overcast. Maybe try desat on this one and see how it looks in B&W. This would also eliminate the distraction of the red clothing of the person in the BG. |

Swan-2.jpgby kevrobertsonComment by Prism: Great focus to get all the details of the feathers and the amazing colour of the beak. I like the reflection of the other swan and the bits of ice floating in the water as the swans break through the ice surface. It would have been nice to have the full tail feathers in the shot. |
