I like this but I'm not sure if it quite works for the challenge. The focus in the background is actually quite sharp and my interest keeps being drawn to the two girls. He seems to be isolated more by his actual distance from the crowd and the fact that he is sitting and everyone else is walking. If the challenge had been simply to create a candid shot in which you isolate a single subject this would fit the challenge but minimal depth of field was specified.

The guy could be in sharper focus. I like the setting. I'm not sure why his slacks are unbuttoned. He's a nice looking guy but he doesn't quite have the sex appeal to carry this look off and slacks (instead of button-fly jeans) don't help any. Maybe this is a scene in a play?
