Very dramatic. The lighting is really what sets this photo off, well done. I can easily see that this wouldn't suit everyone's taste, but i think it's fantastic.

Yeah, it doesn't work in basic; I'm with ya on that one. The light on the rope is super, tho. Just too much on the subject. I think the original light on the rope would be cool and I'd love to see a slightly softer light on the model with a blue gel to give her a cool feeling.

It's not the "prettiest" of pictures. Harsh highlights and shadows, red in the eyes.. but it works so very well, I feel, with what you are trying to portray! I think you did a great job with this photo.

Nice concept. Torment here is coming across more like 'how much longer is this going to take' due to the model's facial expression. Maybe that's the torment. Lighting here is a bit flat. There's just enough detail on the left side to drag my eye to it, but not enough detail there for my eye to be interested in what it finds. Some harsher lighting or lighting from a different angle might have worked better so that the left side fades to black. Might have overdone it a bit on the sheer volume of rope here, it is making the photo very busy. but for all of that, this isn't a bad shot and I think if you just kept trying different approaches you'd probably end up with a really killer photo once everything came together. Nice work.
