I think the old-photo effect is significantly overdone here. It just sort of looks like the roll of film was accidentally exposed to sunlight or something, just too little contrast.

Nice composition, though, the texture of this bird needs a shallower DOF, this way the texture of the background is a bit busy for me. The eye and the head could be a bit more sharper, but I like the way she holds her head.

Interesting idea. I like the solid black background, it certainly helps with the decapitated feeling. Not a fan of the coloring, it makes it look like a bad horror shot.

Interesting subject. The beak is a little overexposed and OOF. A wider crop with better focus and a tad shallower DOF would be my suggestions for this shot.
