Simply elegantby PascalComment by ergo: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Great idea. The hand seems slightly misplaced for a natural pose, and perhaps a shift slightly more to the back, instead of being on the side of the body, would be more effective.
I agree that a recrop, tighter on the hand itself, would yield a better image. Such a crop would also highlight the ring better.
For this current crop, the focus is very nice, but the lighting could be improved. The hand seems to lack "polish," and has a very warm tone that isn't quite flattering for it. You could attempt to soften it in post-processing, and to remove the light reflection on the digits.
Overall, a very good attempt at the challenge, and one that shows a lot of creativity and energy. There's a sexyness to the image hinted by the bare lower back, but again, given the size of the ring, a closer crop might do wonders. Good luck in the next challenges. |

Enigmatic happinessby PascalComment by Artyste: A little more work in levels might have helped here.. the blow-out on the shirt sleeve is too distracting for me. I like the atypical composition though, although your focus seems a little too frontal (the corner of the couch cushion is in more focus than the girl's face and eyes, which should be the focal point IMO) |

Enigmatic happinessby PascalComment by mycelium: nice colors. focus seems to be more on the knee than the face, and her expression, her eyes, are definitely enigmatic, which makes me want to see as much detail as possible. but when I look for the detailed area, what I get is KNEE! knee is not as interesting, so I as viewer am frustrated! save me from viewer frustration, and show me proper focus!
