Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Great idea. The hand seems slightly misplaced for a natural pose, and perhaps a shift slightly more to the back, instead of being on the side of the body, would be more effective.
I agree that a recrop, tighter on the hand itself, would yield a better image. Such a crop would also highlight the ring better.
For this current crop, the focus is very nice, but the lighting could be improved. The hand seems to lack "polish," and has a very warm tone that isn't quite flattering for it. You could attempt to soften it in post-processing, and to remove the light reflection on the digits.
Overall, a very good attempt at the challenge, and one that shows a lot of creativity and energy. There's a sexyness to the image hinted by the bare lower back, but again, given the size of the ring, a closer crop might do wonders. Good luck in the next challenges.

Lighting and focus are good, but just not enough emphasis on the ring for a jewelry ad.

I would really like this shot more if it didn't look like her finger was chopped. The ring is making it look like there is a chunk missing on the finger.

Good shot - but not jewelry enough for my tastes. A good shot and out of the ordinary in this challenge.

I like your idea but the pose of the hand to me is awkward , I think cropping to below the wrist would stregthen it.IMO 7

Great photo, but not enough focus on the ring for a jewelry ad. If the ring was a 2 carat stone this might work better.

I like it! The lighting is great and the pants, ring and hand placement all work together very nicely. good luck! 9

IMO Ring is lost in the photo, with too much emphasis on hand and not enough on finger-ring. Warm lighting.

Very nice composition. I wonder if a little more light coming from the left wouldn't have helped the image though. It's a bit dark. Good luck!

I would have liked to have seen a tighter crop

Nice comp and shadows. Ring need to be more prominant so I don't think this is a jeans ad.

Good composition and original photograph. Scene could have use a little more light however, specially on the left side.

could've kept the sharpness of hand decreased to emphasize the ring more

Ok...you've got a little sex appeal going on. The image is well composed for what it is. I'm not sure there is enough emphasis on the jewelry...only the final results will tell for sure. Good luck.

Good idea, but the focus for an ad should be more the jewelry than the hand.

Very good apart from the colour. 7

I like this picture in its own right, but as a jewelry advertisement, I don't think it works so well. Not enough focus on the ring itself. (6)

lighting is very dark and harsh. I think a brighter background and a tighter crop on the ring might have been more effective.

Very 'mysterious', I like this one.

Nice composition and take on this challenge.
I would suggest a slightly different crop to have less of the wrist showing here, placing the single focal point on the hand/jeans.
Good shot regardless.

Interesting shot. Unfortunatly, we don't really see the item. Its probably Elegant, but the hand is not (no offense to the model). Lighting is a bit harsh for something 'that' elegant as well. A tighter crop would've helped i think. 5

If this really were an ad, you'd probably want to feature the ring more prominently. It's hard to make out any real detail as it's shot here.

Cute, but a pitty there is too much shade on the back of your model ....
