i don't know that you should have added the freedom = independence part to the title. i actually 'get' your point about how this shot says 'independence'. nice image, the light outside is a bit overpowering, but adds to the mood in some way too.

This image also suffers from too much "coolness". Try to move the image away from the blues and greens and add some warmth to the scene by playing with reds. That stick popping out of the water could be cloned out. I think you could also have cropped this just a bit tighter.

I like the composition of the shot, but it looks cold, like there is too much blue in the image. Makes her beautiful pale skin bluish. This image could be warmed up quite a bit. I also have a bit of a problem with the idea of the black gown with the old pumps. I would have preferred seeing a country flowered dress type thing. Maybe it would look good as B&W or duotone.

You need too boost the contrast and slightly move down the brightness in PS for this to work better, same goes for the others with this model.
