Very Octoberish colors... shadows work well... The flash burned a couple of spots, but no biggy... It seems a bit crowded in to me, but I'm guessing that's what you were going for... But that's just me, and what do I know? :)

I would prefer greater “depth of field” to get all the text in focus. As it is, I find the right hand side a little distracting. This is a shame as I love the idea and you have a strong composition.

Very cool color effect. As for being on topic. I think it's more of a choice than indecision as there is suppose to be a sense of immediacy with the latter.
