White-Tailed Deerby Judith PolakoffComment by ovenbird: This is a very nice image and I really like the tones but I think the clipping of the feet and rear/tail takes away from it. I think this is because I can see part of the tail so it really makes the rest of it feel like it is missing more than it would if I couldn’t see any of the tail at all. The same goes for the legs. I think if this were my photo that I would do a much tighter crop and just have the head and shoulders or something along those lines. |

White-Tailed Deerby Judith PolakoffComment by dragonlady: I love the softness of this shot and the clarity of the deer...you captured the expression of the animal beautifully..I like the foreground branches, it gives the shot depth. |

White-Tailed Deerby Judith PolakoffComment by srbrubaker: I like the out of focus background and the sepia treatment. I guess this is a quibble, but if it is a 'White Tailed Deer" why do we not see the tail? I love the branches above, they frame the deer nicely. The stubble in front is distracting. |

Converging Lines (Deer Tracks in the Snow)by Judith PolakoffComment by dahkota: honestly, not sure why I like this image. Definitely better with the limited color you used. Maybe the close tree branches gone would improve it but I can't say without actually seeing the result. I tried holding my hand over the monitor - not the same! Excellent POV - like the way the earth just ends.8 |
