Pity about the guy on the right hand side near the frame, I'm sure you hated him being there, still it's not too distracting.

like the shadows and the grain, the blown out white fur on the front doesn't work for me but I like the overall contrast and feel of the image.

This had so much potential, but it's just not working for some reason. There's a strange, dark band at the bottom that reminds me of a shutter problem. And the whole thing looks just a little flat. I like the fact that it's not a macro close-up up of petals or other cliche. I like this a lot. Very original idea. The execution, on the other side, is sub-par. I miss some colour in the photo. Or maybe it's the white balance that is a bit off. It's too green in the middle and too brown on the outside.
