Constrainedby jbeazellComment by Bear_Music: Remarkably well-seen image. The figure/ground dichotomy is gorgeous; is it a billboard or is it a hole in the wall? Close examinations ays the latter, but the reality of it keeps popping back and forth... |

Constrainedby jbeazellComment by maxj: its at a bit of an angel, but i suppose that gives you the edge of the wall to the left, reassuring the viewer that it is not a painting...great shot BTW |

Steel Gourdby jbeazellComment by sannok: It's a pretty interesting-looking shot, and the gourd has a pretty heavy look to it, but the overall balance seems a little off...like the gourd wants to be in the center, but it's not, or it wants to be off to the side, but it's sitting in between. The left side feels really empty compared to the right, which has the heavy 'weight' of the gourd, along with the stuff in the background, and there's nothing on the left side to really offset that. |

Steel Gourdby jbeazellComment by rscorp: I like the dof for this shot very much. It really works. I also like the black color against the yellow. The setting is strange...not where you'd expect to find a gourd but it's a visually pleasing enough shot. |

Steel Gourdby jbeazellComment by whagerbaumer: Interesting observation of likeness of bolt heads to gourd. The composition suffers from the picture being cut nearly in half horizontally. Perhaps if the gourd were moved further back, the camera moved to the right, so that it allowed more of the bridge to be seen and so that the gourd compared in pictorial size to the bolt heads A 5. |

Arizona Fenceby jbeazellComment by AutumnCat: Would have scored this much higher. This is a much more dramatic and appealing photo.
Wow - who would have thought a monitor adjustment could make that much difference! |
