Unfortunately, these look like oranges, which were not allowed in the challenge. Other than perhaps an intentional try to score low, I am not sure what you were going for with the out-of-focus and high jpeg artifacts (too much jpeg compression produces artifacts)

Well, this one will score really low from me so I'll comment on why. First of all, and most importantly, the rules specifically state to NOT shoot an orange or anything like the orange fruit. I don't know if it was intentioinal, but the focus is way out. Why is there so much space at the bottom of the photo? I think the composition might have been okay if you raised the camera angle to include more of the fruit. I also think the way the lighting highlights the table and the blown out portion of the orange detracts from the shot. I would have preferred a little less light on the right (the highlight is okay, it's just too bright and loses the detail), and more light on the left side to bring out the orange color and the detail of the fruit. I hope this is helpful!

Was this a deliberate attempt at thumbing your nose at the challenge guidelines? If it was, that's your perogative. You'd would have to be legally blind not to see that it's out of focus; it almost seems intentional. And even though totally out of focus, it looks suspiciously like a member of the fruit family that was stricken from the challenge. If you didn't understand the challenge or are actually legally blind, I apologize. 1

Sorry - but this is about the most out of focus shot I've ever seen, just terrible.

Um... if you were purposely ignoring the challenge rules and additionally submitted a very blurry image in an attempt to earn last place, you may have accomplished your goal...!
