Good headline. OK photo. A little too caotic for my tastes. I'd recommend cropping out the shadow area to make it uniformly lit. I'm also thinking the people near the red sign in the middle would've made a great crop.

Emotive use of the technique here which is what I'm valuing highly as a voter. Mundanity of the scene adds to the poignancy - where two people ended their lives. We probably all imagine that our lives would end somewhat gloriously or at least in oeace, but this depicts the stark reality to the contrary.

A longer DOF would have been better and it almost looks as if the surrounding areas have been blurred which is distracting and frustrating - particularly on the barrier next to the wreaths.

I wish this had done a little better, it was in my top ten anyway. It makes me want to take my shoes off and run towards that cabin. Rolling green hills always do that to me. :)

I think you should have cropped off just a little more from the left, just so that you can't see that shadow or tree, or whatever it is in the back.
