This photo has a lot of impact. I think it would be stronger if the crosses were centered; there's not a lot of interesting background on the left side of the photo. Sometimes it pays to break the "rule of thirds."

This is not a good picture to choose for this challenge. The guardrail, telephone pole with utility boxes and poor little tree on the left just give a fully cluttered background. If you had taken the picture from allot more to the right to eleminate the pole it may have worked for you.

A powerful image, especially where I live. Practically every turn in the road or pole has a memorial where someone died, either a person driving, or walking alongside of the road.

The pole and electrical box on the right side is a little distracting and could've been cropped a bit closer to the pink cross.

Makes me feel a little down....

Emotive use of the technique here which is what I'm valuing highly as a voter. Mundanity of the scene adds to the poignancy - where two people ended their lives. We probably all imagine that our lives would end somewhat gloriously or at least in oeace, but this depicts the stark reality to the contrary.

A longer DOF would have been better and it almost looks as if the surrounding areas have been blurred which is distracting and frustrating - particularly on the barrier next to the wreaths.
