Shower Windowby torrenzanoComment by peecee: sorry, I just don't like gory images here.
I appreciate the technical side of the image and have voted accordingly. |

Walking Proudby torrenzanoComment by Dave Gordon: I really like the composition with the two horses' heads framing the rider. The white fence in the background is a distraction, but given that the rules allow only basic editing, there's not much that could be done about it. |

Shower Windowby torrenzanoComment by emorgan49: blood? This is a remarkable image, rather disturbing. the story it tell to me is self injury, unhappiness, see how the hand is pressing to get out? symbolicly trying to escape some internal pain represented by the haze and wetness of the rest of the body, An image like this that is faceless effectively allows the viewer to supply the identity. Techinically perfect, nice focus, veru good use of DOF, rule of thirds, desaturated color - all sepua except the blood, leading lines of the shower drops point up to the missing face. powerfull |

Walking Proudby torrenzanoComment by kaenmey: Great clarity. The riding hat is a bit chopped off at the top and it seems a bit strange having the rider obscured by the horse. Otherwise I like it. |

Shower Windowby torrenzanoComment by PhotoGnome: Critique Club Member:
This photo was very nicely composed. The red on the fingers are somewhat intriguing and draws my attention to make me wonder if the subject is relaxing or in a struggle. The colors are very drab and create a somber mood. As with any "shower scene" we always come to think of the "Psycho" movies, perhaps this was the mood you were trying to create; and along with the "blood" have captured what you set out to do, if that was the case.
All the proper qualities of a great photograph. If I had to point out one flaw that I could see I'd say that it was the bit of "gray area" that is near the fingers that sort of take away from a higher score. I liked it and voted an 8 |
