I think this image needs some minor histogram/curves adjustments to bring out the colors, also the minor clipping of the tail is a small distraction

Simply stunning clarity and I love the muted tones of this image. VERY natural in appearance - no signs (to me) of overprocessing. You really did a nice job juggling the necessary detail of the subject and softness of the background. I also like the fact that this is something I could see in my backyard on any given day. Great work - I'm bumping this up from my initial score of 7 to 9.

I'd have liked to see the separation between the bird and the background more clearly defined. A shallower DOF might have helped with this somewhat. If you hue shifted the yellow channel you could probably move the color of the branches in the background closer to green and the bird more toward yellow. In any case, this is one of the better portrait-style bird pictures that I've seen in the challenge so far.

Like the dof. The green colors are very pleasing to look at. Nice detail in the bird feathers. Excellent composition.
