johannaby krukvaextComment by jamesgoss: I love this shot!
I didn't get a chance to vote, but I would have given this an 8. Lighting is spot on, great model, and snapped at just the right moment. It really captures motion and energy.
on the negatives, it seems a bit on the dark side on a few details (clothing), and could use just a hair more separation from the background (upper left- hair & dark area merge a bit) |

johannaby krukvaextComment by RKT: I was your lonely "10" vote. What I enjoyed most about this was the atmosphere/mood. The softness of the background coupled with the almost unaware-of-the-camera expression just really clicked for me. It's like a shot that you would take between the fully camera aware/posed shots...she looks relaxed, and that's how you want a model to look. ( Many of my personal favorite portraits are the "in betweens" as I like to call them.) I just found it refreshing, different...not a typical forced sort of fashion shot. Keep doing what you're doing. |

johannaby krukvaextComment by vawendy: I thought it was beautifully done, but for some reason it just didn't wow me. The processing, the tones, everything is very well done, but the expression on the face just seems awkward. It's not that it seems uncomfortable, or forced, or anything like that. It's just doesn't seem to fit the photo. It was a 6 from me. Not that I thought it at the time, but it probably would have been an 8 with a better expression. The shot is beautiful -- but didn't connect. |

johannaby krukvaextComment by skewsme: This is very, very good. it's likely that narrowminded kneejerkers were knocking you down a few points for 'blown out areas', when of course, that's part of the magic here. I love the mood and the processing and the expression. Personally would have wished for a bit more space but that's probably only because I'm not generally a fan of fashion model shots - which is what this invokes. Please keep going with your gut - keep it artistic and interesting and don't dumb it down for a score. |

johannaby krukvaextComment by MikeO: Gave it a 6, for some reason I found her mouth looked odd, looking at it again it's not. |
