first of all, i love the expression on the baby's face! i love lighting and the mother's hair, and how his little hand is grabbing her shoulder. my one improvement would be to emphasize the 'celebration' aspect of it, by somehow accentuating the mother's joy. maybe this could have been done by having the mother's head really lean into the infant's, or by using some kind of profile. still, very nicely done!
