Very unusual photo. So unusual I don't quite know what to make of it. The DOF has the hand nicely, but not quite perfectly focused. But the background is a bit fuzzy. So okay, that could be intentional but in this case it gives the photo a "faked" look. Almost like you saying, "See this a photo I took of sunset at the shore." Tie in to theme seems weak to me to.

The focus is a tad off, as well, the hand is a bit too bright, so it doesn't quite fit the mood of the lovely landscape in the background. It almost stands out too much when it should be as dramatic as the background is

whew! lower the brightness, change the hue so the flower is more red, raise contrast a tad to make the darks a little darker, etc.

although, maybe you did the opposite of that just so a flower would fit the challenge. 3
