I like the B&W treatment in both images and wonder why the girl has wellies on with the rest of her clothing? If the mannequin had stockings (or wellies) on I could see a connection but as things are I can't (not that a diptych is required to marry images).

No problem at all for me that the end thumb is horizontal and I love that you presented these together. But an idea. For me the two parts that really work together are the girl and the center (mannequins and hydrant) of the second image. What if you took a narrow slice out of each and put those together - maybe with no separator or maybe with - to make a square?


Interesting idea but I like the emptiness surrounding the hydrant and mannequins in the right picture. The environment around the girl is also part of the story. For me, these are two stand alone images that I found interesting juxtaposed. Thanks for taking the time to look and express your thoughts.
