This is perfect! What a wonderful unspoken conversation.

Cool. In the sense of beat generation cool. Some mumbling bearded hepcat will write a baffling and sans-denouement story around this photograph. Oh, wait ... one has. See below.

Thank you (both, man)

Crop is brilliant, so is the B&W. A lot to learn from this shot.

I keep looking. Don't know how much you cropped from the original because it looks absolutely impeccable. It's as if your eye and the camera focused on this scene that was already cropped in real life. No composition was necessary.

Thanks for the nice comment. I do like how the image fills the square. This was a spontaneous grab so careful framing wasn't an option. The original unedited file is below.

she goes to a hotel room and empties a large pile of money from her purse. She takes off her brown wig to reveal blonde hair.

the bank manager where she worked reports a robbery, and reports that one of his employees has not shown up to work. one of his accounts happens to be there at the time. He is a handsome young Scottish man. He remembers this woman. She was very friendly to him, and he found something fascinating about her.

and then...

am I in the Hitchcock challenge? You navigate a square the way a hustler navigates a pool table. amazing.

I agree that this could be a shot from a Hitchcock movie. Those legs are a little thin and long, but they could be one of his cameos.

Great title. And she has to pass by him to get to the crosswalk . . . As others have noted, there's a story here for sure, whether yours as suggested or a completely different one.

Such a simple image yet so complex when you really look at it. Nice Gucci bag as well :)

Very engaging perspective and composition. You're immediately thrust into speculation about whether or not an interaction is taking place or if these are strangers who just happen to be in each other's circle for an instant. The fragments of clothing seem to be stand-ins for the people themselves. The title sure encourages curiosity. It's also very cinematic. If I may, Hitchcockian. I really like this and wish I knew what happened next.
