I wanted the flattening merge effect but at the same time didn't. It's a candid of a young man walking past graffiti. I think it's the result of seeing a Kara Walker Show and listening to John Coltrane. At least that's my excuse. |

Thanks for the nice comment. I do like how the image fills the square. This was a spontaneous grab so careful framing wasn't an option. The original unedited file is below.

There is so much to this story. The capture is like an interior still, the man smoking and looking with pride at the woman packing the harvest, a sense of well being and a bit of a secrecy also.
