Fresh start (selfportrait)by garlicComment by tate: I like this angle and the captured action. Unique and 'fresh' ... I'm thinking this will do well for you. My only problem is the slightly over-exposed thumb that is also slightly distracting in the crop. 8 |

drop itby garlicComment by Skip: nice idea, but it could stand to be a bit sharper. it would also help if the background wasn't quite so busy--that takes a lot of the initial focus away. another thing that would have helped would have been to have tried a number of different straws of different colors, then selected from the most dramatic (somehow, i think a hot red straw would have had more impact than this light yellow one.). |

drop itby garlicComment by glad2badad: I'd like to see the bottom of the glass to believe it. ;^) Interesting bokeh in the background - very defined instead of circular. Curious as to your lens... Concerning 'Stopped Motion', the theme of this challenge, you've stopped the motion just fine as far as the water and straw go - really think you should have let the whole thing go (seriously this time). A little cropping off the right side might have added to the dynamic of this image. Good luck in the challenge. |

drop itby garlicComment by flip89: The highlights at the back are overpowering the beautiful almost ice sculpture effect of stopping the water motion. |
