Nice shot. I like the stop action water and your lighting is great. Nice skin tones and it definitely tells a story.

gave this a nine. it's not perfect; the skin looks a bit red, it might be a bit over exposed, hands and some of face isn't quite sharp enough (compared to the tap), the crop feels a tad tight and the background kind of draws attention away from the action. however, as far as self-portraits go, this is incredibly original and creative, the water looks fantastic (especially love the sense of motion in the basin), the chrome fittings don't show the camera. it's also very, well, not self deprecating exactly, but not an ego trip either, which some SPs have a tendancy to be. it's an openly honest SP, which is weird given you're hiding your face. i like the concept of this a lot and i hope it does well.

Composition: 8 - Works very well, my only gripe is how close to the edge of the frame the tap is, and a couple of the drops on the right.
Technical: 8 - Very well done, the motion is captured perfectly. The top of the hand and thumb is a bit blown out and out of focus tho, which I think detracts.
Creativity: 7 - Nice take on the standard water shot, adding other points of interest. Well done for a self portrait too (but I think putting that in the title ruins it and "cheapens" the whole photo a bit, since the title is part of the presentation of the photo)
Appeal: 6

Overall Calculated Average Score: 7

I like this angle and the captured action. Unique and 'fresh' ... I'm thinking this will do well for you. My only problem is the slightly over-exposed thumb that is also slightly distracting in the crop. 8
